An overly positive letter from me to you…

An overly positive letter from me to you by Kristin M Roach

Don't judge me, I had just had a massage, was eating the coziest lunch, and on reflection, I find myself annoyingly optimistic too. And a new painting.

This week marks a full month of writing letters instead of newsletters. I think I’ll keep going. When I wrote this I was buoyant knowing that life is a cyclical kind of thing and there were sure to be down days too. And there were of course. But in this snippet of time, I had a really awesome day. I’ll take it as it comes.

This was written on not my usual notebook with a borrowed pen. It was a test. I found the paper hard to read and will switch back to my good ol’fashioned lined notebook and scanning it. Seems a bit easier on the eyes.

Written while at lunch at The Dot Cafe.

Recorded in my garden studio.

Some end note announcements

New Backyard Botanical Painting

The Prairie Rose Gouache Painting is now available for sale along with a signed open-edition print. You can find both here.

If you are in Ames

I’ll be switching out all my paintings in the Little Woods Gallery this month to the ones I’ve been sharing online, stop in after thanksgiving to see them in person. I’ll share some photos of them in situ once I’ve installed our new gallery rail system (so excited for this!).

Join me for the Mending Social at the Octagon, the November date will shift due to the holidays. We are still figuring it out.

More soon.
