How is shipping cost determined for original paintings?
The painting is carefully wrapped in archival tissue, then secured in bubblewrap. A box is then selected, measured, and weighed. From there I use shipping software to determine if FedEx, DHL, or UPS is the best option. All original art is insured for the purchase price. Usually for USA continental the shipping is less than $50 for a small painting. For larger paintings and international shipping, it can vary substantially. Please contact me with your address and the work you are interested in and I will calculate the shipping quote for you. Handling and packaging is complimentary for all purchases, it’s purely the cost of shipping and insurance.

When will I get my package?
Zines and prints are shipped within 2-3 days of payment being processed and take 2-5 days if you are located in the USA and 5-21 days if you are anywhere else. All international orders are shipped via first class mail.
For originals, allow 2-2-3 days for your shipping to be calculated and an invoice sent. Once payment is received, the work will ship within 2 business days by the quote carrier. From there allow 2-5 days if you are located in the USA and 5-21 days if you are anywhere else.

How are Prints Numbered/Signed?
I offer two types of prints — Limited Edition and Open Edition (8x10 & 5x7 only)
Limited Edition - Each one is signed, dated, titled, and numbered based on the order printed.
Open Edition - Signed and titled in the marigin.
For all prints, I use a graphite pencil for best archival quality.

How are Prints Made?
Open Edition prints are printed on my Epson inkjet printer using high quality paper and 100 year archival inks right in my studio.
Limited Edition Prints are printed professionally by a Giclee print shop. The inks used will last more than your lifetime and the paper is a high quality cotton based rag stock. Each print has a 1” border and a hand-torn edge. The prints are available unmounted.
Giclee (pronounced Gee’clay) is a French term meaning to spray or squirt, which is how an inkjet printer works. However, it is not the same as a standard desktop inkjet printer, and is much larger and more detailed. Giclee prints can be a little over a meter wide and are printed on high quality archival papers. Giclee is the best way to produce archival reproductions of your fineart and photography.

I love your style, will you paint my favorite bird/flower/etc?
Plants and birds, yes. Animals, humans, other subjects not currently reflected in my portfolio… not at this time. If you send me a reference photo of your bird or plant, the size requested, I will reply with a quote and timeline. Thank you for your inquiry!
